SESSION TWO
Passenger Airline Profitability in a
Challenging Economic Environment

11:00am - 12:30pm

Many passenger airlines have cut capacity to compensate for declining loads in both their economy and premium cabins. Should we consider this a temporary situation, or are airlines simply “right-sizing” their operations to a more realistic system level? How will this impact long-term financial performance and fleet decisions, and can mature low-cost carriers continue to expand marketshare under the new market constraints?
